Many aspects of parrot care are the same as with any other bird. They need a constant supply of fresh water and the proper food for their breed. But parrots can be more demanding in some aspects. Since they are very intelligent, they need daily attention and mental stimulation.
Being able to set time aside to spend with them is probably the most important part of parrot care. If you don’t have time for them they will grow mean and destructive, sometimes doing things like tearing out their own feathers. Keeping their environment clean and bird-friendly is also very important. Nobody wants to live in a dirty cage, and you need to remove any potential hazards from their space as well.
Probably the easiest part of parrot care is making sure that they are supplied with toys and treats that encourage them to play and explore. This wards off boredom and makes them a happier parrot overall. As long as you know how to properly care for your parrot, you will have a great time with your pet.
