Nobody wants to leave their pet behind when they vacation, and a travel bird cage keeps you from having to. These cages are generally fairly compact in size, so they don’t do well for keeping larger birds for any extended period of time. But for getting your bird on the road and to your destination, they’re perfect.
Travel bird cages often come with castors or the bottom so they can be easily rolled instead of having to be carried everywhere. They generally have a couple removable bowls and perches so your bird is comfortable while it travels. Some have an opening in the top so that once you arrive you can open the top and set up a perch. This way your bird can sit outside the cage and be a part of everything that’s going on.
When you’re looking for a travel bird cage, find one that will be durable and last through traveling. They should be sturdy enough to withstand an accident such as the cage being dropped. They should also have places to put things to keep your bird feeling secure, such as a favorite toy or treat.
